XKYLAR created an alter ego for her new music video
Our Music Video of the Week spotlight goes to “HOT” by XKYLAR, a visually striking release with unapologetic energy. Directed by Xkylar herself in collaboration with Danielle King.
Drenched in retro-futuristic boldness, HOT feels like a fever dream straight out of the Y2K era – think glitchy VHS aesthetics, underground club culture, and a heavy dose of main-character energy. The choreography, crafted by Danielle King, isn’t just movement; it’s a power play, radiating pure confidence through the screen.
XKYLAR, an LA-based artist with a sharp visual eye, has already made waves in the creative world – her work has been featured on Kim Petras’ tour and alongside other rising pop icons. But with HOT, she isn’t just shaping visuals for others; she’s carving out a space entirely her own.
The result? A music video that doesn’t just ask for your attention – it demands it.
