Behind the Video: Digging Through the Archives
This project brought together 23 people, with director Gerda Remeikytė, producer Karolina Bimbaitė and Urboo at its core. Made without a budget and developed over around six months, the video grew into a collaborative passion project where everyone contributed their time, skills and resources to create something that matched the vision in their heads.
From exploding miniature statues and mysterious characters to hot summer filming days and a full-house screening at Lukiškės Prison in Vilnius, the process became as personal as the video itself. Here, Gerda Remeikytė talks about how the project came together, the challenges behind it, and the details viewers might miss at first glance.
Meet the 23-Person Team Behind the Music Video
How many people worked on your selected video? Who played a key role in it?
To be exact, 23 people worked on making this music video, but there were definitely a couple more who helped us along the way. There was me as the director, my producer and close friend Karolina Bimbaitė, and Urboo himself. This video had to be made with no budget, so we were very lucky to have great artists, friends, and family members who combined their resources and creative powers to make this project happen.
Six Months in the Making: From Winter Post-Production to a Full House in Vilnius
How long did it take to make it? What was the process (in short)?
The whole process took around six months. We didn’t rush, there was no deadline and basically it was winter when post production started, so we waited for warmer weather to release it. Then there was a public screening in Vilnius, in Lukiškės Prison, with the hall completely full of people (link). Really glad we made it more personal and met people in flesh and bones, because you usually let the piece out and forget it, this time we wanted to be more special.
Making a No-Budget Passion Project Happen
What challenges did you face while working on the video?
I would say one of the biggest challenges was gathering everyone together to do it simply for the vibes. This was a passion project, and we really wanted to make it without too many limitations and bring it to life exactly the way we saw it in our heads. We also had to create some scenes where we blew up the mini statues, which required the help of a “stuntman” who, in fact, was the producer’s dad. Also the filming days were really hot, so, by the end of it, we all got a pretty sexy tan. I guess that’s a plus, actually.
A Nostalgic Ending That Brings Childhood Memories Back
What part of the video is your favorite?
For me, it’s the ending, because everything is over and you just can’t stop it. There’s something nostalgic about it that still makes me think about my childhood and spending time with my grandma at her old house. The trampoline is half-deflated, the rooms are empty, and you remember those days as more colorful and intense.

Exploding Statues, a Mysterious Apple, and the Video’s Hidden Meaning
Is there any message that the video is sending that you don’t want the viewer to miss?
The statues we see at the beginning of the video represent the characters. The boy is the singer, the two cats are the ghost girl dancers, and the statue of the girl in the middle represents Urboo’s crush. Later, the statues blow up, which also symbolizes a kind of release from everything they represent. And the apple! If you notice, that’s when strange things start happening. Maybe it was poisoned? I’ll let you decide, haha.
