Listen at your own risk
Vendela released her debut single “Komodo” on a Friday 13th, presented with the tag “Listen at your own risk”. We did, and are thrilled to share it as our Tuesday Tune selection.
“This Transylvanian-blooded femme fatale with an attitude is here to rile the music industry and sever new paths through the so-called mainstream. Her ragged voice and deranged lyrics will leave you gutless as you surrender to her gritty, obscure, filthy but unequivocally classy sound that makes this project nonpareil.” This statement is shared by label @onokomusic, which is led by the founder Francisco Faria.
The accompanying music video is filmed in Lisbon, Portugal and produced by @moremaria.pt and directed by @theraquelsousa. The shots are iconic and the choreography is smoooth.
