As part of our new partnership with MPB, we’re bringing their Creator Kit Loan Program to filmmakers in the BMVA community for the 2026 edition. It’s a hands-on collaboration that puts professional gear directly into the hands of filmmakers we trust.
Four filmmakers, four kits, two weeks
Together with MPB, we’ve selected four filmmakers from the BMVA community to take part in this year’s program. Each one is getting a kit of their choice from MPB’s range, with two weeks to put the gear to work and produce something new. The idea is simple: MPB loans equipment to creators within a partner’s community, giving them the chance to experiment, explore new ideas, and put MPB gear to work on their own projects. The result is authentic, creator-led content that inspires their peers and adds long-term value to the partnership.
The brief is open. The kit is theirs to test, push, and play with. What they create is up to them.
Once the projects are in, the videos will be shared across our social channels and website in the weeks that follow, giving each filmmaker a platform to show their work to the wider BMVA community.
It’s a chance for them to put new gear through its paces, and a chance for our audience to see fresh work from creators they should already have on their radar.

A natural fit with Best Low Budget
The Creator Kit Loan Program sits naturally alongside our Best Low Budget presented by MPB category. Both are built around the same idea: that great work doesn’t depend on owning the most expensive equipment, but on having access to the right tools and the freedom to use them well. MPB recirculates over 615,000 pieces of used gear every year, making professional equipment accessible to creators at every stage. The Creator Kit Loan Program is that mission in action.
